About ACKI
The African Children's Kick Initiative connects children's homes across Africa with donors, volunteers, and the wider world — amplifying their stories, strengthening their communities, and backing the work they already do.
Our Mission
Across Africa, thousands of children grow up in homes that receive little outside attention or support. Many do remarkable work — running schools, football academies, medical clinics, and arts programmes — but they have no platform to tell their story.
ACKI exists to change that. We give registered children's homes a space to publish news, newsletters, and stories, making their work visible to donors, volunteers, and supporters around the world. Every article published here is a window into a child's life.
What We Do
Education
We highlight homes that invest in tutoring, scholarships, and vocational training — giving children a path forward.
Community
Homes are not islands. We connect organisations with donors, volunteers, and local partners who can make a real difference.
Visibility
We give homes a public voice. Every article published here puts their work in front of donors, volunteers, and supporters who want to help.
Who Gets Listed
Any registered, legitimate children's home operating in Africa is welcome to apply for a listing on ACKI. We verify each organisation before publishing. Homes must:
- Be formally registered with the relevant national authority
- Provide residential or day-care services for children aged 0–18
- Have a named contact person and a valid email address
- Commit to publishing at least one update per quarter
To apply for a listing, email us at africanchildrenskickinitiative@gmail.com.
The Team
The people building and growing ACKI.
I started ACKI because too many children's homes across Africa are doing extraordinary work in silence. They run schools, feed communities, and raise children with dignity — but the world rarely hears about them. ACKI is my attempt to change that: a platform where these organisations can tell their stories, be found by supporters, and grow the networks they deserve. We are at the very beginning, but the mission is clear.
